The History of ITS Logistics

A supply chain leader across North America

Excellence is in our DNA and has been since day one. Our founders started ITS Logistics as a company built on strong family values— respect, integrity, and compassion. We are committed to working hard for each other, our clients, and our communities.

The beginning of ITS Logistics
1999 - 2005

In 1999, we signed the first dedicated agreement with CLIF Bar with a 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse and two trucks—and became a $1M company in the first full year.

Over the next 5 years, ITS Logistics expanded to dedicated fleet services and pool distribution service, and grew our warehousing space, servicing customers like Starbucks and Amazon.

Expanding our reach
2011 - 2012

Within 12 years of opening our doors, we went from serving the West Coast to serving the nation. We expanded our asset-lite transportation division—ITS National—into a multi-modal freight brokerage.

Investing in growth
2015 - 2020

We partnered with McNally Capital and Coughlin Capital to accelerate growth in 2015.

In 2016, ITS Logistics consolidated its corporate offices, warehousing, and transportation into a new 630,000 sq. ft. campus in Sparks and significantly expanded the asset-lite division in downtown Reno.

We added new facilities in southern California with full fleet operations, more than doubled our office space, and moved up on Transport Topics Top 50 Freight Brokerage list in 2019.

Making our mark in the Midwest
2021

After expanding into Whitestown, IN, we were able to reach 75% of US and Canadian populations in one and a half days and 95% of the US in just two days. This new location added two warehouses, totaling nearly 600,000 sq. ft. of distribution space and a regional trucking operation.

We climbed to #35 in North America’s non-asset transportation services.

Helping shape the next generation
2022

We received recognition from Transport Topics and placed in several categories, including Freight Brokerage Firm, Drayage + Intermodal Provider, and overall 3PL Company in North America.

Giving back to our community, and committed to supporting our industry’s future, we partnered with the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business to create the Supply Chain + Transportation Management Program. We also partnered with the University of Nevada, Reno Department of Athletics to sponsor the Chris Ault Field presented by ITS Logistics.

Where we are today
2023

We built a new 1.1 million sq. ft. facility in the heart of Texas, offering a variety of distribution + fulfillment and regional trucking services. Our growing campus in Indianapolis expanded to 1.3 million sq. ft. These expansions bring us to 3.8 million sq. ft. across North America, and enable us to reach 95% of the US population in two days.

ITS made the Inc. 5000 list. ITS also opened a technology center of excellence in Walnut Creek, CA and released ContainerAI, a cutting-edge container management and visibility platform.

Transport Topics named ITS Logistics as the #11 drayage + intermodal provider, #21 asset-lite transportation provider, #50 asset-based dedicated fleet, #56 overall 3PL company, and #62 warehousing provider in North America.
