Mike had an interesting path before joining ITS Logistics. He grew up in Lake Tahoe, CA and was a walk-on to the University of Nevada Wolf Pack football team. He ended his college career as team captain and MVP of the Las Vegas Bowl, before being drafted into the NFL. He played 3 years for the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings before deciding to walk away from football in 2002 on his own accord due to concerns about his long-term health.
Mike moved back to the Northern Nevada area and started successful businesses in real estate, mortgage banking, and finally logistics—which led him to ITS in 2012. He started in sales on the asset side of ITS in Dedicated Fleet Services, before being offered the opportunity to take over the asset-lite transportation service line in January 2013.
The division was very small that first year, but has been on an accelerated rate of growth ever since—nearly hitting $900 million of revenue in 2022 and ranking as a the #21 Top Freight Brokerage firm in North America by Transport Topics magazine.
In 2022, Mike was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he is responsible for strategic planning, leadership initiatives, and all day-to-day business operations of the company, both asset and asset-lite.
Founded in 1999 and based in Reno, NV, ITS Logistics offers a full suite of transportation and logistics services along with B2B, D2C, retail and omnichannel distribution services.
