Position Overview
The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for all talent acquisition programs and processes to meet the strategic goals of ITS Logistics. This position ensures the effectiveness of the recruiting department, enhancing processes to meet current and future needs of the organization. The Director of Talent Acquisition will create recruitment strategies and best practices as it relates to attracting, sourcing, interviewing and selecting talent and be responsible for ensuring alignment with business leaders. This includes developing new recruiting strategies, networking with professionals across the community and creating pipelines of talent from universities and other sources.
Principle Accountabilities
- Manage, lead and develop a team of high-performing talent acquisition professionals providing talent acquisition consulting and support throughout the recruiting process
- Establish, maintain and monitor appropriate metrics to gauge the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the recruiting process
- Support operation leadership on the evaluation of recruitment and retention functions companywide
- Partner with the Marketing team on the employee value proposition and employment branding including social media presence on various platforms
- Participate in the vision, design and direction for the continued evolution of the organization’s career website and team member referral programs
- Plan and manage recruiting events including community and collegiate events
- Operate as a talent acquisition subject matter expert, trusted advisor and coach to the operation leaders and Human Resources team
- Collaborates with operation leaders to promote a positive candidate experience across the business

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a very fast paced environment required (previous experience in freight brokerage helpful)
- Previous experience in recruiting, staffing strategies, sourcing, candidate development, interviewing, selection/hiring practices

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (includes platform presentation skills, meetings with employees and management and solid listening skills)
- Ability to influence and lead team members towards a common goal, managing team dynamics and providing development opportunities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to demonstrate high standards of behavior at all levels
- Solid skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote)
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement an improved process cohesively, involving multiple party stakeholder
- Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, without compromising quality
