Asset Maintenance Specialist
Job Description
Overview
The Asset Maintenance Specialist (AMS) provides support to the INC Asset Division by creating and tracking reports, documenting procedures and coordinating operational plans. This individual will be responsible for carrying out a variety of duties, with a focus on operational and procedural efficiencies through analysis and collaboration. The AMS reports to the Asset Maintenance Lead (AML).
Principal Accountabilities
The AMS will work closely with the AML to achieve growth in our trailer acquisition and management initiatives. This position will interface closely with the Finance Department, Information Technology, Safety & Compliance and all INC teams. A wide range of responsibilities are necessary to fulfill, including:
- Coordinating R&M vendors and repairs
- Diagnosis of trailer breakdown causes via phone and messaging
- Daily data management and input utilizing various technologies
- Recording and updating asset acquisitions, status, and locations
- Tracking and reporting compliance with registration and insurance
- Track and trace daily operations
- Information gathering, collaborating with teams and leadership, and reporting back
- Communicating with and updating INC and DFS teams
- Optimizing organization practices via automation and efficiency, always striving toward continuous improvement
- Miscellaneous administrative and clerical duties

Education/Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate must have high attention to detail and be very organized. The AMS must be accustomed to working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Additional attributes we seek include:
- Flexible schedule, ability to work weekend shifts
- Knowledge of freight trailers, their systems, parts and mechanical operations
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced Data Entry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer Service experience and service-oriented attitude
- Ability to maintain deadlines
- Administrative experience
- Degree preferred
- Strong work ethic
