DOT suspends hours of service regs for drivers hauling COVID-19 response loads

The U.S. DOT late Friday announced it has suspended hours of service regulations for any interstate truck driver or bus driver hauling loads or people related to the response of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

DOT’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration issued an emergency declaration, part of President Trump’s national emergency declaration on Friday, that suspends HOS regs nationwide for drivers hauling, according to FMCSA’s declaration.
