ITS Logistics Instrumental in Success of The Letter Carriers Food Drive - 06-05-2007
The final results have been tallied, and we are excited to let you know that residents in Reno-Sparks communities donated 189,000 pounds of food during the May 12 Letter Carriers Food Drive, which is an astounding 61% increase over last year’s total of 117,229 pounds!
We could not have achieved continuing success without ITS Logistics generous assistance as we expanded our efforts to promote the Letter Carriers Food Drive to the community. We never would have been able to receive and transport these abundant contributions without the assistance of your derivers and trucks. Our June Food Source newsletter, now on the press, also features the Letter Carriers Food Drive and our valuable sponsors. Our webs site is currently being updated to include the food drive results. I have also enclosed a copy of your thank you ad published in the Reno Gazette-Journal on June 3.
The Letter Carriers Food Drive arrives just in time to help us continue our work through the summer months. Due to the increased demand for food assistance, our abundant holiday food drive food donations have all be distributed to needy families and individuals in Northern Nevada and the eastern Sierra. We will be distribution the Letter Carriers Food Drive donations beginning immediately and on through the month of August.
