Label the shipment appropriately; placing a label on shipments that cannot be double stacked or laid on a side can prevent costly damages. Ask your carrier for the proper labels.

Use well-maintained four-way pallets. If a shipment falls thought the pallets, there is a pretty good chance it will be damaged by a forklift blades.

Make sure your packaging cartons have the right burst weight and avoid re-using the packaging, as it weakens the materials and makes the original burst weight invalid.

Ensure shipment paperwork is accurate. Accurately listing the contents on each shipment allows carriers to identify packaging requirements and ensure it is handled appropriately.

Pack the cartons appropriately; there should be no loose items inside.

Distribute weight evenly in all cartons, otherwise the packaging may rupture.

Shrink-wrap the freight and the pallet.
